”The church formerly known as Lord Hill”

In 1985, Lord Hill Church began meeting in the home of Howard Potts.

This small fellowship quickly grew, necessitating a more permanent building on Lord Hill.

For the next 6 years the church continued to grow and establish itself within the community.

The untimely death of Pastor Potts brought about a season of change within the body. At this time Bill Anderson assumed the role of head pastor.

From 1992 until 2005 the church has gone through different stages of pruning and maturing as the Lord forms us into the body He has called us to be.

Sensing a season of change, the leadership decided to move from Lord Hill and take temporary residence at the Countryside Community center in Owego. Much like the Israelites on their journey, we continually seek the cloud of the Lord in determining our next destination.

As the winds of change brought us to a new environment we felt the Spirit’s leading to change our name to line up to embrace this new season. In accordance with Revelation 22:1-2, we have chosen the name Tree of Life Christian Fellowship.
